Helping Ease the Burden—So You Can Focus on Healing
PATIENT ASSISTANCE
Compassionate Support When You Need It Most
Cancer doesn’t just affect the body—it touches every part of life, often bringing unexpected challenges outside the treatment room. At Care to Share, we understand that healing requires more than medical care. That’s why we offer a range of Patient Assistance Services designed to reduce stress, restore dignity, and provide comfort through the journey. Whether it’s help getting to appointments, finding the right medical supplies, or accessing essential support items, we’re here to walk alongside you—every step of the way.
Navigating life after surgery or during treatment often means needing temporary medical support at home. We offer a variety of loaner medical equipment—such as walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and more—available at no cost to patients. These items can help improve safety, mobility, and comfort during recovery. Our team can help assess your needs and coordinate a loan with minimal paperwork. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be picked up or arranged for delivery in special cases.
The emotional and physical healing after a mastectomy is deeply personal. To help ease this transition, we offer free post-mastectomy supplies including:
- Soft, comfortable bras and camisoles
- Prosthetics and breast forms
- Scarves, hats, and wigs
- Gentle skincare and comfort items
Our boutique space is warm and private, designed to help patients feel supported, respected, and beautiful again. These items are lovingly donated by community members and may be available in a variety of sizes and styles.
We know that for many patients, especially those living in rural areas, the cost of traveling back and forth for appointments can quickly become overwhelming. Our Fuel Assistance Program helps ease this burden by providing gas cards or fuel vouchers to eligible patients who need help getting to treatment. Whether you’re driving yourself, relying on a caregiver, or making frequent trips across long distances, this small but meaningful assistance can make a big difference.
